Kim Jong Un is the third ruler from the Kim dynasty to lead North Korea, after his father and grandfather. North Korean leader's daughter, Kim Ju Ae, made her first visit to the mausoleum containing the remains of her grandfather and father, as shown in photos released by the official Korean Central News Agency, in a move that bolsters her position as Kim Jong Un's heir. The bodies of the two men are located at the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, a vast mausoleum in the center of Pyongyang. The Kim dynasty, also known as the 'Paektu lineage' after a sacred mountain considered the mythical cradle of the Korean people, has dominated North Korea since 1948. According to North Korean propaganda, Kim Jong Il was also born there and succeeded his father, Kim Il Sung.
