North Korea banned the broadcasting of matches of English teams, which include stars from neighboring South Korea. This ban came after two football clubs from English Premier League were involved in a match in which South Korean players participated. The North Korean television interrupted the broadcast of the game after a South Korean football player appeared on the field.
"We were forced to stop the broadcasting of the match due to violations of state norms," the television reported.
Such decisions are made in connection with the tense relations between the two countries, which remain formally in a state of war.
