Yesterday, the Central News Agency of the DPRK spread a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in which it is said that they intend to continue strengthening their nuclear capabilities, discussing the trilateral statement made recently by the USA, South Korea, and Japan on nuclear disarmament in Pyongyang.
The U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, his South Korean counterpart Kang Kyung-wha, and Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono held a meeting last Saturday at the Munich Security Conference. In their statement, they reaffirmed their commitment to complete nuclear disarmament of the DPRK. In response, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of North Korea criticized these three countries for striving to implement "an absurd and outdated scheme."
