North Korea's Central News Agency reported that the country's leader, Kim Jong Un, oversaw tests of long-range surface-to-air missiles at a launch site near the east coast. The agency stated that the trial, aimed at evaluating strategic nuclear technologies to develop a new type of high-altitude missile, successfully destroyed aerial targets at a distance of 200 kilometers. The agency also said Kim inspected the construction of an 8,700-ton nuclear-powered submarine capable of launching surface-to-air missiles, without specifying the location or timing of the visit.
