North Korea announced on Thursday that the country's leader Kim Jong Un attended a "decisive" test of an intercontinental ballistic missile, aimed at strengthening the country's nuclear deterrent.
The missile test was described as a subordinate element of the DPRK's strategy to reinforce its nuclear arsenal and the country's ability to counteract hostile actions in the face of the hostile North Korean regime.
"The launch of the missile was successful and was conducted in accordance with the planned testing. Kim Jong Un expressed full satisfaction with the results of the test," the statement from the North Korean government agency said.
